A letter to Ms. Jones.
Marion Jones, why are you trying to destroy me?
I’ve never done anything to you, and still you decided to give me the migraine headache of all times this morning?
I staggered around my house trying to wake up enough, so that I wouldn’t drown myself in the shower, and while listening to the news, I hear that you plan to admit to steroid use!
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?
After all those accusations, and all that denying??????
Immediately, I felt let down and embarrassed. At first I thought that it might be a racial thing. You know…. as an African American woman, I got that “she set us back” feeling.
But then, after a little time, I realized that that wasn’t the case at all. Race couldn’t have been my issue, because I didn’t care at all when that Barry Bonds steroid case came to light. And he’s a man of color.
My migraine came from this………..

You tricked me into believing that you were wrongly accused of using drugs. I was on your side. I defended your image during all the speculation. And you were lying through your baby teeth. You’re a cheat and a liar and I hate you!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, okay, …….. lol. That was a little extreme and childish so I take that back. I’m sorry, it’s just that, I hate to be wrong. Anyway...that's all I have to say.

I feel you, Nic, but just to protect yourself in the future, if you hear that an athlete is even suspected of being a user you should proly consider them guilty. In fact, whenever I see an athlete, especially in track and field, just totally dominate, I assume they’re juiced. Keeping with that theory, I think Flo Jo was juiced. Women just don't come built like that; I don't care how hard you work. (But I'm like that when I get called for jury duty, too. I figure that if it made it all the way to trial, dude must be guilty. That's just the way I am.)
I figured MJ was using pretty much the very first time I laid eyes on her, with her cute ‘lil canine teeth. Unfortunately, I think 99% of 'em are on the stuff. I mean, you have to be in order for the U.S. to even have a chance against the rest of the world these days.

im a former tracklete so i'm definitely hurt. I have loved her as an athlete since she came out.
oh well, i must push on and wait for the next "great one"

I agree, she should have took that to her grave, after ALL the denying she did. Now she wants to come clean? Hope for a more positive reason. I don't agree with the theory that women aren't built like that. I know women who already have a well-toned physique, naturally. Once they really start working out they get those "big necks."
My sister and I ran track (actually at the Penn-Relays...and for Keystone, damn I miss Philly) and she was fast as lightning and she had those natural "man-muskles" :) Nice Blog

mis understood, if you see another female track athlete with the proportions that Flo Jo had, I guarantee (99.99%) you she's on something or has been on something. Tons of them are cut and strong and all that (like you, I’ve been around them all my life…still am), but even the most rigorous Arizona State-esque track regimen won't make a woman a freak like Flo Jo was. It's just not in your genes...unless they've been altered by andro or something. I ain’t hatin’; it’s just the reality of the matter. Lots of folks on the circuit knew Flo Jo was using. It’ll come out one day. Watch.
anon: your entitled to your opinion, I didn't say those two didn't use, I said I didn't agree that women can't look like that unless they're on something. I just know women who haven't and ARE cut like that.

Yeah, I know some, too, MU...body-builder types, though, not female track athletes. That was the distinction I was making. You don't get like that on a clean track program...unless you were once a man. Thanks for entitling me to my opinion, LOL.

Yes! Exactly! I would have rather she’d done this years ago, when they first questioned her. Then I might have believed that she thought it was flack seed oil. You don’t deny flack seed oil for 5 years though! You prolly also don’t snort it .
