Hey everyone, I'm back. Sorry I haven't been posting, but I had a crappy week. Oh yeah....thanks to everyone who sent well wishes. They helped a lot.
As for my last post..... I was going to type a long explanation about my deceased uncle, and why I felt weird about his passing. I'll give you the short version. He wasn't a nice person. He had a lot of bad habits, that left me thinking that he got what he deserved.
That was last week though. Since then, my anger towards him has faded. There's really no point in being mad. He was family, and I loved him. I wish things would have been different. I wish that he could have been a different person. I wish that I would've had the heart to contact him before he died of prostate cancer. I honestly didn't think he was going to die so soon though.
His death turned the whole family upside down. Caused a lot of in-fighting, and just general drama. I can't wait for things to get back to normal.
Yeah........I'm done. Next post won't take so long I promise.

glad to see you're back. Unfortunately that infighting happens after a lot of deaths.

Sounds like you are making peace & that is good for you in the long run. Families really show their asses when someone dies & that really sucks.

Making peace is a big step. Holding anger hurts. I understand all too well. All we can do is pray and let go of some ish.
there's my lamb-chop...dag, boo, I'm so so sorry you've had to deal with this, but weeping only endures for a night, till joy comes in the morning. Death isn't easy and especially when there's ill feelings...you feel upset with yourself for NOT feeling the way you THINK you should, but we're not perfect. Forgivness is the things that gets us over that hurdle...and sounds like you've forgiven him in your heart.
As far as family goes, well we can't pick em...so we've got to grin and bear it. Let them do what they're going to do and you take a backseat...I'm sorry I didn't have a joke in here for you, but I'll work on something REAL NICE LIKE...lol.

Yep, I just gotta let go and let god. And you know what's weird? I had a dream about him last night. He was happy & kinda peaceful, & understanding. I almost never dream about family. I almost never dream at all :)

Awww, thanks boo-boo. You know what though? I didn’t even cry. Not one tear. The only thing that did get me a little emotional was when I told my little sister. I thought she was going to die. I had to tell her on the phone because of distance and time constrictions. That was good & bad. Good, because I might not have been able to take seeing that in person. Bad cause I couldn’t give a hug. You’re right though. I was feeling bad about not feeling bad. Then I said “screw it”. In the end, we’re all just dust in the wind.
Anyway, I hope he’s at peace now.
No joke for me???? Well, I got one for you then. Might not be appropriate with all that’s been going on but, what the hell. Stop me if you’ve heard this one ;)
So there was this boy, about 12 years old, sitting on some bleachers watching a football game. He was shoveling chocolate bars into his mouth. A man came up and sat besides him. He looked at the child and said…
“You know…you really shouldn’t be eating all of that chocolate. It’s not very healthy.”
The boy said….
“Well my grandfather ate chocolate and he lived to be 97 years old.”
The man was astonished, but managed to say…
“Your grandfather lived to be 97 years old just by eating chocolate?”
The boy said…
“No, but he knew how to mind his fuckin’ business!”
That s*** made me laugh, cause this reeeeeeal old man told it to me. Hope it gave you a chuckle.
